Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours.
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food handling practices.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Experience in the food industry, particularly in a restaurant setting is preferred.
- Proficient in various cooking techniques, including grilling, sautéing, baking, and frying.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely meal preparation.
