Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and organized Front of House Staff administrator to join our dynamic Dirty Apron team. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer support and ensuring a welcoming environment for our guests. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for organization, customer service and problem solving.
- Customer Interaction: Provide exceptional customer service to cooking class customers and visitors, assisting with inquiries about classes, schedules, gift cards, and pricing both in person and over the phone/email.
- Booking Management: Operate and manage our booking system to ensure smooth registration and payment processes for students attending classes.
- Administrative Support: Assist with general administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and maintaining customer records.
- Class Coordination: Help coordinate class schedules, provide reminders and to attendees, and ensure all necessary materials and spaces are prepared for each class.
- Communication: Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries and requests, providing accurate information about available classes and other services.
- Additional Duties: Assist with day-to-day front-of-house operations to maintain an organized and welcoming environment.
- Hospitality Standards: Supervise class check-in, support serving team. Occasional serving shifts as needed.
Key Requirements:
- Excellent English skills (verbal and written) are a must.
- Previous customer service experience is vital.
- Knowledge of the hospitality/restaurant industry is vital. (Upscale hosting/serving background is a plus).
- Comfortable with computer systems and technology; prior experience with booking systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Problem-solving mindset
- Warm and approachable demeanor with the ability to build rapport with customers quickly.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for food and cooking is a plus!
- If not a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, a work permit with a minimum of 2 years remaining.
Availability:
- Immediate start date.
- Full Time Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, plus occasional evening shifts or Saturdays as needed.
