We are seeking an enthusiastic and nurturing educator who has a passion for nature, agriculture, and child development to be a Supply Educator for our Preschool, Kindergarten, and/or School Age programs (for students ages 2.5 - 12 years old).
Position Overview
● Title: Forest School Supply Educator
● Hours: Occasional/As-needed (Mondays to Fridays) 8:15 am - 4:15 pm or 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
● Term: As soon as possible - August 28, 2026 (includes the 2025-2026 school year and Summer Camp)
● Wage: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Qualifications
● Minimum of one of the following:
○ Forest School Practitioner certifi cation (completed, enrolled, or willing to take the course)
○ At least one year of experience working with children (outdoor setting preferred)
○ Ontario Certified Teacher, Registered Early Childhood Educator or equivalent experience
● General Requirements:
○ Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
○ Team player with good communication skills
○ Physical ability to be active and lift 20kg (44lbs)
○ Comfort with large and small animals (or willingness to learn)
○ Enthusiasm for working outdoors in all weather conditions
○ Current First Aid and CPR (Level B or C), or willingness to attain by August 2025
○ Interest in learning or improving basic outdoor skills
○ Interest in developing outdoor teaching and risk-benefi t assessment skills
○ Understanding of the adult’s role in child-led learning
○ Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
