Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their orders promptly and accurately, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires strong communication skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy in orders.
- Assist servers by providing support during busy service periods, including helping with table settings and clearing dishes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and address any issues that may arise during service.
- Help with food handling tasks, including plating dishes and preparing garnishes as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries or concerns promptly and courteously.
Skills
- Previous experience in food handling or food service within a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both guests and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices within the food industry.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to help others, ensuring a positive experience for both guests and colleagues.
- Capability to clean and maintain work areas, contributing to overall hygiene standards in the establishment.
