JOB OVERVIEW:
D Spot Dessert Café feels that our Servers/crew members play a vital role to the operation. They are the heart of the café and are the people responsible for creating a positive customer experience. Servers must go above and beyond for their customers to ensure they are welcomed with a smile, and left with a positive experience.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensuring Food Service standards are met by maintain a hygienic and clean work environment
- Responsible for creating a positive customer experience
- Greeting customers, Clearing tables
- Ensure customers expectations are met and to leave customers with a positive experience
- Preparing dessert, beverages and food when needed.
- Responsible for prepping produce, chopping fruits, vegetables, portioning meats, cheese, preparing sauces and ensuring all mixes made and ready to go
- Wrapping cutlery as needed.
- Thoroughly cleaning the kitchen, wiping counters, fridges, waffle irons, crepe grills, under the oven and disposing garbage.
- In the event of an absence, filling in, by being a productive team member if needed
- Working as a team player with fellow staff members to ensure all food items are delivered at the appropriate time and temperature
- Adhering to grooming, appearance and uniform standards consistently.
- Wash dishes as assigned by the supervisor in the absence of a dishwasher and/or during slow periods.
- Staying updated on current menu changes and monthly features etc.
- Ability to follow instructions and ensure correct measurements are taken when making drinks
- Following clear and concise instructions. Duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience is an asset
- Food Handlers Certificate is an asset
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
- Must be a team player
- Positive interpersonal skills
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs
- Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time
- Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance is key.
- Must be honest and work with a great deal of integrity
- Must be able to communicate with managers, staff and customers

Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
