Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Crew Leader to complete tree maintenance and removal projects and ensure that the highest quality of work is delivered. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Arborculture, including experience with Climbing, rigging operations, Chip truck, Log truck usage an asset.
As a Crew Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team, managing daily tasks, and maintaining safety standards while fostering a positive work environment.
Duties
- Complete the job at hand and coordinate daily activities of the crew to ensure efficient operations, ultimately to meet daily assigned tasks.
- Conduct crew leader tasks including Climbing daily, pruning, and removals, and tree care. (Cavity maintance, cabling and bolting etc)
- Operate Forestry trucks and other equipment safely and effectively.
- Utilize GPS technology for mapping and planning tree projects.
- Train crew members on proper techniques and safety protocols.
- Monitor project progress and quality of work to meet company standards.
- Maintain inventory of tools and supplies needed for daily operations.
- Communicate effectively with owner and clients to provide updates on project status.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Tree maintenance or related field.
- Familiarity with GIS technology is preferred.
- Skills and experience with operating forestry equipment, trucks, chippers, tractor winchs, log clam, stump grinders are highly desirable
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate team members.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Valid driver's license may be required based on job duties. Having a clean drivers abstract.

Contract length: 5 months
Pay: $25.00-$38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
