We are looking to hire a Part Time florist designer to join our growing team. If you're hard-working and dedicated, this is a great place to grow your career.
Responsibilities for a Florist Designer
- Independent and creative in their floral design work
- Receiving shipments, and then snipping and displaying our flowers.
- Picking up flowers from the wholesaler
- Carefully arranging palatable wedding bouquets.
- Packaging clients' flowers to prevent breakages.
- Coordinating flower deliveries.
- Floral duties such as prepping fresh floral and assisting in organizing fresh floral orders.
- Flexibility to assist with weekend event set ups of the floral arrangements.
Qualifications for Florist:
- 2 - 3 years experience in the floral industry.
- High school diploma.
- Demonstrable experience as a florist.
- Completion of a Botany-related course is highly advantageous.
- Acutely familiar with plants' nutritional needs and life spans.
- Knowledgeable about flower handling techniques.
- Ability to nourish, combine, and affix flowers and pertinent accessories.
- Approachable, patient, and forthcoming.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities and duties.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
Other Requirements
- Valid BC Drivers License and access to a vehicle is required
- Perform other related duties as assigned
This is a part-time position. Please note, some evening, weekend work and flexibility will be required for this position.

Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
