Overview
We are seeking a skilled Flooring Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in flooring installation and related construction skills. This role involves working with various types of flooring materials, ensuring high-quality installations that meet customer specifications and industry standards. The Flooring Installer will play a crucial role in transforming spaces, enhancing both functionality and aesthetics.
Responsibilities
- Install a variety of flooring materials, including hardwood, laminate, tile, and carpet.
- Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications to determine layout and installation requirements.
- Prepare subfloors by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary underlayment.
- Lay tiles or other flooring materials with precision, ensuring proper alignment and spacing.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete installations.
- Perform carpentry tasks as needed to ensure proper fit and finish of flooring materials.
- Apply caulking and other finishing touches to enhance the durability and appearance of installations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while maintaining quality standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions or concerns during the installation process.
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to flooring installation.
- Strong understanding of construction principles and practices.
- Experience in flooring installation techniques, including tile laying.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Basic carpentry skills for making necessary adjustments during installations.
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for sealing edges and joints effectively.
