Job Responsibilities:
- Operate manual or automatic transmission highway tractors with 53' flatbed or step deck trailers in full compliance with all road safety regulations
- Perform thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers, including checks on gauges, lighting and electrical systems, and identifying potential water, oil, fuel, and air leaks
- Accurately complete all required documentation
- Maintain up-to-date driver logs (all trucks are equipped with electronic logging devices)
- Communicate efficiently with Dispatch throughout the workday
- Secure and unsecure loads using straps, chains, and binders as required
- Operate a forklift as needed for loading/unloading tasks
- Maintain professional and cooperative relationships with customers and team members
- Comply with all rules and regulations set out by the Ministry of Transportation and the Highway Traffic Act
Requirements & Skills:
- Valid AZ driver’s license with a minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience operating tractors with flatbed or step deck trailers
- Clean Driver’s Abstract and CVOR
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible availability for varied start times
- Willingness and ability to work 50+ hours per week
- Skilled in operating both manual and automatic transmissions
- Forklift operation experience is an asset
