An affiliate of the Airbus Group of Companies, STELIA is an aerospace and defence company specializing in the design, development, and manufacturing of composite components and assemblies. Headquartered in Lunenburg, NS, and with a site in Mirabel, QC, we operate more than 150,000 sq feet of facilities dedicated to operations, manufacturing and administration.
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Finishing Technician is responsible for priming and top coating composite parts. We operate in a shift work environment, which includes a day shift and evening shift. This schedule allows for a mix of daytime and evening hours, making it ideal for those who appreciate a structured yet flexible routine.

In this role, you will:
- Prepare advanced composite parts for painting per specific work instructions and customer specifications.
- Finishing includes (but not limited to): washing, sandblasting and other sanding methods, filling cracks, stenciling, masking, etc.
- Mix and apply bonding adhesives and sealants.
- Perform self-quality checks.
- Identify nonconforming parts, conditions, and manufacturing processes.
- Record results (e.g., production and inspection) per work instructions where required.
- Meet schedule and production requirements.
You have:
- Grade 12 diploma (or equivalent experience)
- 1 year experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Organized individual with high attention to detail, self-motivated and a quick learner.
- Manual dexterity/coordination with the ability to use of power tools, cutting tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and/or blueprints while following demonstrated steps.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Physical demands include lifting and moving material weighing up to 50lbs and other protective equipment.
- Must be able to wear a respirator
