We manufacture a diverse range of natural health products, and with our recent expansion into a second facility in Richmond, BC, the company continues to grow rapidly with the mission of improving quality of life, creating a healthier society, and protecting human health as a global leader in healthcare supplements.
We are currently seeking a full-time permanent Accounting professional to join our Finance & Accounting team.
This role is primarily targeted at a Junior-level Accounting position, but depending on the candidate’s skills, experience, and leadership capabilities, the role may be offered at a Senior level (Accounting Manager).
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts receivable (A/R) and accounts payable (A/P), ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Process invoices, payments, and collections while maintaining proper documentation.
- Support or oversee payroll processing, ensuring compliance with regulations and timely disbursement.
- Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and forecasts to support business planning.
- Analyze financial data, including revenue, expenses, cash flow, and balance sheets, to identify trends and insights.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal financial policies.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Review and process company payments while maintaining financial accuracy.
- Maintain and update accounting records, ensuring proper filing and record-keeping.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and operational efficiency.
Qualifications / Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Quantitative and analytical skills
- Working knowledge of GAAP principles (Advantage: Korean GAAP)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Strong sense of responsibility and confidentiality
- Adaptive and proactive in problem-solving
- Decision-making and negotiation skills
- Financial modeling skills (preferred)
- Understanding of the health supplements business (asset)
Education and Experience Requirements:
- BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- For Junior candidates: 3+ years of Finance and/or Accounting experience
- For Senior candidates: 5+ years of progressive Finance and Accounting experience, with proven leadership capabilities
Employment Terms:
- Permanent, Full-time (Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
- Wage: Commensurate with experience and level (Junior or Senior)
- Probation: 90 days
