Position Overview:
We are looking for a Fiber optics Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of various communications networks. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of broadband services.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications systems in ISP and OSP environments.
-Building and Splice in FOSCs maintaining high standards in green and brownfield environments.
-Utilization of an OTDR and OLTS for testing & commissioning.
-Provide support to senior technicians and work as part of a team
- Coordinate with engineering and operations teams to plan and execute network upgrades, expansions, and new installations.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team members.
Qualifications:
-Experience Splicing and Commissioning Fiber links
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Strong technical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations as needed.
-Ability to work at heights
-Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
