Hours: Casual/On-Call – Approximately 12 hours per week during the weekend, focused on security duties, with additional hours available during the week for event support and other Facilities roles.
Compensation: $25.00/hour.

Overview
The Victoria Conservatory of Music (VCM) is looking for a reliable and versatile individual to join our Facilities team in a part-time or on-call capacity. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their workday and brings a broad skill set to primarily support security operations, while being available to contribute to Building Service work when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Security – responsible for the protection of the VCM’s day-to-day operations by preventing and responding to security related matters that may cause interruptions to business, property, and building occupants and maintain a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and patrons.
- First Aid Attendant – administering first aid (first responder) and logging and reporting on incidents.
- When needed, assisting the Venues Department with event security and Front of House duties.
- Patrolling and guarding parking lot to maintain a safe and welcoming main entrance to the building, including ticketing unauthorized parking.
- Custodial – when needed, responsible for performing custodial duties, minor maintenance, and related duties as required to ensure that the VCM facilities are kept in a safe, sanitary, and clean manner.
- Periodically, as required and directed, assisting other Facilities Department positions.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Provincial Security Worker Licence required.
