We are looking for a full time server to join our passionate and tight knit crew at The Mackenzie Room! Join a dynamic team of industry professionals at a Michelin Recommended restaurant that has been serving Vancouver for 10 years.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, providing menus and information about daily specials.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all requests are communicated to the kitchen staff.
- Serve food and drinks to guests in a timely manner, ensuring presentation meets our restaurant standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Process payments accurately and handle cash transactions responsibly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, utensils, and condiments.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of orders.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times, including proper food handling practices.
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service or the restaurant industry is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety regulations is an asset.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to help others, contributing to a team-oriented atmosphere.
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
