Personal Chef Services and Catering
Since launching in 2014 My Sweet Beet has become a well-established personal chef and catering company. Team members do not need to work extra long hours, but rather get to also spend time with their friends and family, and take care of their health. Team members are treated with respect, and have their nights off, as well as most weekends.
Are you tired of restaurant work but love being a chef? Well, we are looking for people who are: results-driven, attentive-to-detail, reliable, focused, takes direction well, while also able to respond to challenges, and effective with their time. Experience as a personal chef is an asset and we are also willing to train.
A typical workday generally involves: shopping for groceries, then arriving at the client's house on time and ready to work. Our staff prepare 3-5 different meals on-site with sides, then package and label meals, and cleans up, all within a general 4-5 hour time frame.
We focus on two things and do them exceptionally well; weekly in-home cooking and dinner parties (small catered events)
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Excellent cooking and kitchen skill set
- Must be adaptable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Completely dependable and respectful of client's privacy, since you are being trusted in people's homes
- Being an enthusiastic ambassador of our values and brand to current and future clients
- Handling constructive feedback from management or clients
- Excellent time management, strong organizational and communication skills
- Strong interpersonal relationships with our clients, the team, and all our partners
- Reliable personal transportation, having access to a car.
- Computer literacy- the job will include emailing and printing
This is a part-time position, Monday to Wednesday. As work availability increases, this can become a more full-time position based on commitment level.
Pay is based on a percentage of the chef's fee.
