We are seeking an experienced bookkeeper with mandatory prior experience working in a private career college to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare financial statements and reports
- Reconcile accounts and bank statements
- Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with Ministry requirements
- Handle payroll and related government remittances
- Support financial audits and ensure compliance with Private Career Colleges Act
- Work closely with the administration to ensure all financial processes meet regulatory standards
Requirements (Mandatory):
- Proven bookkeeping experience in a private career college (this is compulsory)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and relevant regulations for private career colleges in Ontario
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage)
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills
Assets:
- Knowledge of Ministry of Colleges and Universities compliance requirements
- Experience preparing reports for audits and renewals

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
