Street Tax is a growing company that specializes in bookkeeping and personal taxes. Street Tax has proudly served the Grande Prairie community and surrounding areas for over 20 years, offering expert bookkeeping and tax services tailored to the unique needs of our clients.
We are currently looking for an experienced bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience managing financial records and performing various accounting tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Reconciliations, including bank/credit cards, CRA accounts and loans
- Preparing and filing GST returns
- Preparing payroll and calculating remittance details for the client
- Maintain an organized client filing system
- Maintain client accounts – filing system, records and communication
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as required
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
- Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Sage
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent at meeting deadlines
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others
Wage: Dependant on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday – 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (37.5 hours a week) plus extended hours during tax season.
