Location: Vancouver, BC | Hybrid
Job Type: Full-Time
Start Date: As soon as we find the right fit
Hi! I’m Leena Yousefi, founder of YLaw, one of the most recognized and fastest-growing law firms in Canada. I’ve built a firm based on courage, creativity, and compassion. I’m also the creator of The Split, a legal-tech app that’s changing the way people approach separation and divorce.
Between running a firm, developing an app, attending speaking engagements, and raising a family with 3 little kids, life is fast-moving and exciting. I’m looking for an Executive Assistant who can help me stay organized, focused, and creative.
This is not your typical assistant role: you’ll work directly with me on a variety of professional, creative, and personal projects. I am a fast thinker, have an insatiable need for speed and several projects on the go at any time.
I am a visionary and not very good with organization, operations, systems and details. This is where I could use your help!
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing a highly complex calendar and scheduling meetings, events, and speaking engagements
- Running some of my projects
- Booking travel, accommodations, and handling logistics with care and precision
- Running personal errands such as booking appointments, arranging childcare pickups, and organizing dry cleaning or events
- Creating and managing social media content and helping with light marketing tasks, especially for The Split app
- Keeping the office organized and helping with special projects or tasks for the wider team
- Assisting with internal communications and staying on top of follow-ups and reminders
Who You Are
- Someone who loves change, will roll up his/her sleeve and do what is needed to keep it going – not a ‘I am too goo for this personality’.
- Background in marketing would be an asset as I do a lot of the firm’s marketing and am passionate about it. Would need help with some SEO, social media posts, website maintenance, content, etc.
- Exceptionally organized and reliable under pressure. I am ADHD, so you will need to probably be the opposite!
- Tech-savvy with working knowledge of Google Workspace, Canva, social media platforms, and basic SEO or marketing tools
- Friendly, clear, and confident in both written and verbal communication
- Comfortable working with a busy and high-expectation leader while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude
- Someone who truly cares about doing good work and contributing to something bigger
What You’ll Have
- A chance to work side-by-side with a recognized leader in law and innovation
- Involvement in creative and meaningful projects that impact people’s lives
- A warm, inclusive, and professional culture where your ideas are welcomed
- Flexibility, trust, growth opportunities, and the chance to build something great together
How to Apply
Please send your resume along with a short cover letter explaining why this role speaks to you. If you want to stand out, feel free to include:
- A system or hack you use to stay organized
- A piece of content or project you’ve created that you’re proud of
Looking forward to hearing from you, Leena.
