Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Events Coordinator to join our team on a commission-based structure. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for proactively seeking out and securing new event opportunities for our cotton candy business. This position is ideal for an individual with exceptional communication skills, a knack for sales, and a passion for creating delightful experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Event Generation: Proactively identify and cold call potential event venues and organizers, including:
- Places of worship (e.g., temples, churches, synagogues, mosques, community events, bazaars)
- Schools (e.g., school fairs, graduation parties, sports events)
- Festivals (e.g., local community festivals, music festivals, food festivals)
- Corporate events, private parties, and other gatherings.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with event planners, venue managers, and community leaders to secure recurring business and referrals.
- Event Coordination: Work closely with clients to understand their event needs and ensure our cotton candy services align perfectly with their vision, from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up.
- Sales & Negotiation: Present our cotton candy offerings, negotiate terms, and close sales agreements to maximize event bookings.
- Market Research: Stay informed about local event trends, upcoming opportunities, and competitor activities to identify new avenues for growth.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and event bookings.
Compensation: This is a commission-based role with the potential to earn up to 5% commission on all secured event bookings. Your earning potential is directly tied to your success in bringing in new business.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or event coordination, with a strong track record of cold calling and lead generation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate our unique cotton candy offerings effectively.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently to achieve sales targets.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work varied hours as required by event schedules and client needs.
- Passion for creating enjoyable experiences and a positive attitude.
