Our Events & Programming Department is looking for a dedicated Event Coordinator to join the team.
Position Responsibilities
Event planning and coordination
- Lead the administrative, planning, development, controlling, and execution of events, as assigned.
- Coordinate event logistics.
- Work with relevant stakeholders to determine staffing levels and security requirements.
- Connect clients with service providers (catering, box office, production, etc.).
- Ensure clients account for essential details that may be overlooked in the planning process.
- Support the department administratively as required).
Compliance, Safety, and Operational Oversight
- Prep venue before events, including guest way finding signage, vendor information, and setup.
- Liaise with internal departments and vendors to coordinate setups and take downs.
- Provide leadership as the primary contact during events, including emergencies.
- Willingness and ability to adapt role based on event dynamics.
Client and Stakeholder Engagement
- Manage vendor relations and coordinate service providers.
- Assist clients in identifying event needs and overlooked details.
- Promote City venues and pursue new client and revenue opportunities.
Qualifications
- Two years of event planning experience
- Certificate or diploma in marketing, events, or related field is an asset

- Standard First Aid
Hours
The standard workweek consists of an average of 35 hours, with the specific schedule being determined by the immediate supervisor.
Compensation
Starting salary $29.88 per hour as per the Out-of-Scope Agreement.
