Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge of best practice in early childhood language and literacy development
- Able to facilitate positive family interactions and early language and learning development through play, structured activities and role modeling
- Able to work in a multi-disciplinary and multi cultural team environment
- Sensitive to cross cultural issues and experience working with Indigenous families
- Skilled in group facilitation
- Able to keep accurate documentation and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of community resources
Education:
- Preference will be given to those with a Bachelor Degree in Child and Youth Care or equivalent experience
- Valid BC Driver’s License (driver’s abstract must be provided)
- Up to date Criminal Record Check
- Willing to participate in required training for the position once hired
