Are you passionate about literacy, community engagement, and supporting children’s learning? United for Literacy (formerly Frontier College), a national non-profit literacy organization founded in 1899, invites applications for two Literacy Intern positions in Brandon, Manitoba. These positions offer a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping to reduce literacy gaps in underserved communities.

Position Overview

Literacy Interns will support the delivery of our Reading Tent Summer Literacy Program, a long-standing initiative that promotes reading for fun and skill development among children and families during the summer months. Reading Tents are held at various community sites and include books, storytelling, and creative literacy-based activities.

Interns will work as part of a team to plan, coordinate, and lead literacy activities across Brandon, in collaboration with local partner organizations. The positions report directly to the Community Coordinator.
