We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic ECE to join our team.
Experience & Training Requirements
- ECEAs will NOT be considered for this position
- ECE, ECE I/T or ECE SN certificate (preference given to those with a 5 year ECE)
- Clean criminal record check
- Valid Emergency Childcare First Aid (or higher)
- Minimum 2 years working as a full ECE in a licensed group facility in BC
- Valid current food safe certificate (preferred)
- Understand and be familiar with the ECE Competency Grid, Childcare Licensing Regulations and the Community Care and Assisted Living Act
Position Requirements
- Able to work any shift from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm
- Willing an able to rotate shifts with your classroom team
- Shifts are 8 hours with a 1 hour unpaid break (7 paid hours), but may be extended during staff absences or on program and centre needs
Physical / Environment Requirements
- Prolonged periods of standing
- Sitting in child-sized chairs or on the floor
- Frequent bending
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
- Will be exposed to illness-causing bacteria and viruses
Compensation
- $22.00 per hour plus wage enhancement ($6 per hour for ECE)
