Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator and Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their growth and development through engaging activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans that promote literacy, math, and overall childhood development.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a structured and safe learning environment.
- Engage with children in various activities, facilitating their learning through play and exploration.
- Monitor and document children's progress, providing feedback to lead teachers regarding individual needs.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create an inclusive environment for all students, including those with disabilities or special needs.
- Implement behavior management strategies to support positive interactions among children.
- Foster communication with parents and guardians regarding children's development and classroom activities.
- Participate in curriculum development to enhance educational offerings tailored to the needs of the children.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is preferred.
- Background in early childhood education or related fields such as special education or childhood development is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and classroom experience are essential.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or behavior management techniques is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative in individual tasks.
- Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or other disabilities is beneficial.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 – 40 per week
