Security Building Supplies in Regina has an opportunity for a Yard Worker / Driver to join our team. This person will report to the Operations Manager.
Duties:
- Deliver building materials to various locations in and around Regina.
- Safely drive and maintain a large flat deck delivery vehicle.
- Strap down loads ensuring all products are secured properly for safe delivery.
- Work safely and abide by all OH&S standards/requirements.
- Assist customers to find products as well as load/unload vehicles.
- Unload transport trucks with products for the store and yard.
- Use proper material handling techniques to ensure minimal damage to inventory.
- Maintain the yard and warehouse ensuring all areas are clean and organized.
- Ability to work as part of a team and keep pace in a busy environment.
- Become knowledgeable about all products stored in the yard.
- Ensure all products leaving the yard have been verified on delivery paperwork.
- Be able to work during adverse weather conditions.
- Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
Requirements:
- Class 3A license is a requirement.
- Must be available to work the occasional weekend and overtime when required.
- Own steel-toed boots.
- Knowledge and experience in shipping and receiving would be beneficial.
- Forklift certification would be an asset, but willing to train the right person.
- Be physically fit and able to lift objects up to 80lbs without struggle.
- Close attention to detail in all areas of work.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
