Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Bulldozer Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating bulldozers/crawler tractors and other heavy equipment to assist in various construction and excavation projects. This role requires a strong understanding of site safety protocols and the ability to work collaboratively with a team to achieve project goals.
Duties
- Operate bulldozers and other heavy machinery to perform tasks such as grading, paving, and site preparation.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Collaborate with project managers and other operators to execute construction plans effectively.
- Maintain equipment by performing routine checks, minor repairs, and reporting any major mechanical issues.
- Assist in the movement of materials on-site using loaders, backhoes, or graders as needed.
- Follow all safety regulations and guidelines while operating machinery on-site.
- Participate in training sessions to improve skills in heavy equipment operation and safety practices.
Experience
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically with bulldozers.
- Familiarity with additional machinery such as backhoes, loaders, and graders is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment.
- A valid commercial driving license is a plus for transporting equipment as needed.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing job site requirements.
- Previous experience in construction or related fields is highly desirable.
- An ideal candidate will have valid safety tickets in H2S, First Aid, WHMIS 2015, and Ground Disturbance
