The Position
The Guest Service Agent greets all incoming and departing guests with warmth and individual attention. The Guest Agent assists all guests with check-ins, check-outs, orienting them with their stay, and any requests the guest may have. In addition, they are required to maintain a well-organized room’s inventory and room assignments.
The Job
- Provide a warm, friendly, and professional environment for our guests and team.
- Responsible for guest check-ins and check-outs.
- Maintain rooms inventory, reservations, and room assignments.
- Provide concierge service for guests.
- Promote the products and services of the hotel, ensuring better business growth.
- Use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities and to maximize room occupancy.
- Attend appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions.
- Assist with luggage, storage, package delivery.
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
- Observe and report security issues.
- Proper observance of security checklists.
- Guest room deliveries as requested.
- Ensure the Front Desk area is tidy, organized, and presentable.
- Other duties as assigned to support operational needs and team objectives.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service is an asset.
- Previous reservation systems experience preferred but not required.
- Must be available to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Valid Canadian driver’s licence.
- Excellent guest service skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Excellent time-management and communication skills.
- Adaptable to the demands of the day while maintaining company standards.
- Must have a flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Wage: $23.36 per hour.
Reports to: Front Desk Manager or designate.
