Role Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Director of Information Technology to lead our IT strategy, operations, and innovation. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for shaping and executing a technology roadmap that supports business growth, enhances operational efficiency, and ensures robust system performance. The Director will oversee process improvement initiatives, manage system implementations, and lead the day-to-day operations of the IT department. Combining strategic vision with practical execution, this role is at the forefront of leveraging technology to solve complex business challenges and drive organizational success.
Responsibilities
- Drive the Technology vision of the Company, with a clear roadmap to critical deliverables and transformations.
- Continually seek organizational productivity enhancements by leveraging improved business processes and technologies.
- Experience managing Cybersecurity posture to protect the Company's assets while prioritizing the experience of users.
- Keep abreast of new technology developments and trends, and make recommendations to Senior Management on critical innovations
- Drive the analysis, cost justification, risk assessment, buy-in, design and implementation of process and technology improvements.
- Direct the activities of staff involved in help desk support, application setup, and infrastructure.
- Interact with hardware and software vendors and other service providers to assure timely resolution of issues and contract negotiation.
- Direct the development of on-line documentation for all business processes and system procedures, including changes as they are implemented.
- Develop, oversee and manage the Company’s ERP systems, with a focus on the Microsoft ecosystem.
- Enhance day-to-day efficiencies through the effective integration of leading-edge Collaboration tools, leveraging Microsoft 365.
- Communicate changes to users and provide or oversee delivery of training as required.
- Develop a project funnel and manage the prioritization and execution through best-in-class PMO methodologies.
- Direct the development of management information through and using appropriate business intelligence tools.
- Lead the design, optimization, and governance of enterprise data systems, ensuring accurate, secure, and accessible information through effective database management and advanced SQL development.
- Oversee and manage the Company’s communication systems and office security systems.
- Continue the evolution of the helpdesk into a continuous improvement engine for IT back-office processes.
- Champion an organization-wide Disaster Recovery playbook that ensures the ability to navigate and recover from major incidents.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills
- 10 + years of related experience, at least 5 years leading a team
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science or related field, or equivalent work experience. Academic qualifications or professional training and experience are also desirable.
- Ability to provide both high-level/strategic thinking and exceptional tier 1 support and solutions
- Solid knowledge in Microsoft Dynamics(ERP), Office 365, Azure and Power platform.
- Experience in transitioning physical infrastructure to Microsoft's cloud technologies.
- Expert in data analytics, with deep skill in data warehousing, reporting and governance
- Focus on partnering with various business unit leaders and staff, to build trust, establish consistent practices and best practices for information management.
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills. Outstanding communication and people skills, ability to coach, motivate and change.
- Ability to connect IT strategy to core values, culture and behaviors to IT operations.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to deal with multiple projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making expertise.
- Ability to identify solutions with an influential and collaborative approach.
- Solid knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. supply chain, manufacturing, finance, retail, customer service, etc.).
- History of leading successful deployments and integrations
This position is based in a professional office setting, with work primarily performed at a desk using a computer, phone, and other standard office equipment.
