About the Role:
We are looking for a seasoned, strategic, and hands-on leader to join our implementation team as a Director, Implementation Operations. In this role, you will lead complex, high-impact client onboarding and platform implementation efforts with some of the world’s most sophisticated private capital investors. This is both a client-facing and internally cross-functional leadership role, requiring deep expertise in project delivery, stakeholder management, and domain knowledge of private markets.
You will help shape and scale the implementation function, drive operational excellence, and mentor a growing team — all while working at the intersection of AI, financial services, and enterprise software. As a senior leader, you will influence product development, data strategy, help establish and manage our external implementation partner ecosystem, and long-term client success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead complex, enterprise-grade implementations for global clients across Private Equity, Venture Capital, Private Credit, Infrastructure, and Real Assets — serving as the primary point of accountability.
- Operate as Sr. Project Manager and senior Subject Matter/Industry Expert, guiding internal teams and clients through nuanced technical, data, and financial requirements.
- Develop and own best practices, frameworks, and toolkits for the implementation lifecycle; continuously optimize to improve speed, quality, and client satisfaction.
- Provide strategic mentorship and serve as the primary escalation point for implementation managers, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Develop, onboard, and manage relationships with external implementation partners, ensuring they are fully enabled and aligned with our delivery standards, methodologies, and quality expectations.
- Monitor and manage client health and onboarding success metrics; identify and resolve risks before they impact adoption or satisfaction.
- Collaborate with Product and SME teams to shape features and workflows based on direct client feedback and real-world implementation experience.
- Partner with clients and Implementation partners to understand client's data architecture, internal workflows, and integration requirements, driving optimal platform setup and usage..
- Deliver high-quality, executive-ready documentation and presentations that clarify scope, technical design, timelines, and strategic recommendations.
- Influence and drive the strategic direction of the implementation function at 73 Strings by participating in planning, hiring, tooling , and internal process design.
- Actively contribute to automation and scalability initiatives across onboarding, data mapping, and valuation workflows.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in professional services, implementation, or consulting within financial services, private equity, fintech, or enterprise SaaS.
- Demonstrated expertise in leading complex, global client implementation projects (technology/platforms implementation) with multiple internal and external stakeholders; proven success delivering on time and within scope.
- Deep understanding of the Private Market environment (Private Equity and Private Credit), including valuation methodologies, fund operations, and portfolio reporting.
- Experience in developing and managing an ecosystem of external partners or subcontractors, including defining engagement models, setting quality standards, and ensuring partner success.
- Proven leadership and team development skills, with experience mentoring and scaling a team of implementation professionals.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to balance short-term tactical needs with long-term scalability and growth of the implementation function.
- Excellent communication and executive presence; able to present complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong organizational and critical thinking skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
- Experience with enterprise data integration (e.g., APIs, SFTP, data lakes) and working knowledge of SQL is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel), project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana), and visualization platforms like Power BI.
