The Director of Global Talent Acquisition will lead and oversee the strategic direction and operational execution of the talent acquisition function across Canada, United States and Mexico. This role is responsible for developing innovative recruitment strategies, managing the recruitment budget, ensuring the delivery of high-quality diverse talent to meet the organization’s needs. The incumbent will have a proven ability to lead HR transformation initiatives, successfully enhancing the service delivery excellence.


Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Develop and implement regional recruitment strategies to attract top talent and meet organizational goals.
  • Oversee the regional recruitment budget and ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Lead and mentor a team of recruiters, sourcing specialists, marketing specialists focused on employer branding and recruitment analysts.
  • Develop and measure KPIs, providing standardized reporting to key stakeholders.
  • Lead talent acquisition efforts during M&A activities, including integration planning, and execution to ensure seamless transitions and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Enhance the use of recruitment tools and systems such as LinkedIn and SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Ensure compliance with recruitment processes and manage internal and external audits.
  • Work closely with HR and business leaders to align recruitment strategies with organizational goals.
  • Optimize recruitment marketing strategies in collaboration with HR, Communications, and Business teams.
  • Partner with procurement to manage third-party vendors.
  • Stay updated on market trends and industry best practices.
  • Develop strategic sourcing initiatives to attract both external and internal candidates.
  • Monitor performance indicators to ensure efficiency and high service quality.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

How to thrive in this role? Skills, knowledge & experience:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • You have minimum of ten (10) years of experience in recruitment, with at least seven (7) years in a leadership role.
  • You are proficient in both French and English, with the ability to effectively communicate and write in both languages.
  • Experience in the Aerospace industry is a plus.
  • You have proven leadership and team-building skills.
  • You are a strategic thinker with the ability to adapt to changing environments.
  • You are results-driven with a strong focus on achieving data-driven goals.
  • You have excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • You are proficient in recruitment tools and systems.
  • You have strong ethical standards and integrity.
  • You are resilient and able to motivate teams in challenging situations.
  • You have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • You have ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
