Through the National Shipbuilding Strategy (NSS), the Government of Canada has embarked on one of the largest procurement projects since the Second World War. The NSS is a nation-building effort to create a sustainable Canadian shipbuilding industry, secure long-term job opportunities and build the next generation of ships for the Canadian Coast Guard and Royal Canadian Navy. Through its NSS–related work, Seaspan Shipyards is owning the redevelopment of our domestic shipbuilding industry on the West Coast and delivering on the promise of ships built in Canada, by Canadians.

Are you looking to kickstart your career in recruitment? As a Talent Acquisition & Global Mobility Intern, you will have the chance to support all campus recruitment activities, learn the basics of navigating our ATS and engaging candidates in the recruitment life cycle. This role is perfect for those eager to explore the world of talent acquisition while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic team. You'll work alongside experienced professionals who will guide you through the recruitment process and help you develop essential skills.

The Intern, Talent Acquisition & Global Mobility will be responsible for providing project and day-to-day operational support for the Talent Acquisition & Global Mobility team. This role reports into the Talent Acquisition Programs Specialist.

Note: Due to business needs, this position is required to be fully on-site based at 889 Harbourside Drive, North Vancouver.

What you’ll do

  • Supporting Campus Recruitment activities such as career events, university partnerships and our InternSHIP Program.
  • Coordination and scheduling interviews between candidates and hiring leaders.
  • Preparing engaging job descriptions and job postings.
  • Maintaining and updating our HR Information System, Oracle Human Capital Management.
  • Supporting the onboarding process for new hires to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Providing administrative support to the Talent Acquisition team as needed.
  • Providing administrative support to the Global Mobility team as needed.
  • Assists in the collection of internal and external information for reports and statistical research.
  • Preparing and editing correspondence, reports, and presentations.
  • Processing paperwork for functional area according to established procedures.
  • Other duties may be assigned as required.

What you’ll bring

  • Enrollment in a Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent degree program.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English, French or other languages are an asset.
  • HRIS knowledge an asset (Workday, JD Edwards, Oracle).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with federal and provincial employment legislation is an asset.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Capable of building and maintaining trusting relationships with stakeholders, while engaging with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds with empathy and understanding.
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize and problem solve.
  • Exhibits the ability to make well-reasoned decisions.
  • Attention to detail with good analytical skills.

We require a full-time commitment Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week with an hourly rate of $26.00/hour.

Start Date of Internship: Monday, September 8 th , 2025.

End Date of Internship: Friday, May 1 st , 2026 (8-Months).
