Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated delivery Driver/laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting siding goods safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting and moving tasks. If you are passionate about driving and enjoy working in a dynamic environment, we want to hear from you. Experience with different siding and construction materials is a must, Must be able to drive with a trailer. When delivery is not required there will also be working with our team doing labor work and carpentry on construction sites. Site clean ups etc. must be physically fit and able to load and unload material, have a general knowledge in siding material and be able to back and drive with a trailer. Must have held drivers Canadian driver license for 3 years or more
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety compliance.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate loading and unloading activities.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial driving is preferred, with a valid driver's license.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus, Siding material knowledge
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Experience in heavy lifting and moving items safely is essential.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and teamwork in a fast-paced environment is highly valued.
