Décor Set Up Staff

Our venue is an oasis, a state-of-the-art tropical greenhouse that hosts events year-round with a large portion of those events being weddings.

The ideal addition to our team would be someone enthusiastic, hardworking, has a passion for the details and is able to take direction in wedding and event set up.
Role Summary
The purpose of this position is to assist the floral and décor coordinator in the set of all weddings and events in the venue. Tasks include moving furniture, setting up and taking down ceiling installations, counting and cleaning inventory and styling décor.
Job Type: Part-time during event season (May to October), casual November to April.
Flexible Language Requirement: Fluent English, speaking & writing. French not required
Schedule: Weekday availability mandatory, some evening availability, some weekend availability

Roles and Responsibilities
The ideal candidate should:
Be organized and have a good attention to detail.
Be a motivated, self-starter, able to work independently.
Have experience with wedding or event production.
Have a good sense of design and know what is trending in the wedding and events industries.
Be able to work on-site at Aquatopia.
Be able to work remotely on occasion.
Must have a reliable vehicle for transportation.
Must be available to work most weekends.
Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
Must be comfortable working on ladders and operating a vertical mast lift (training will be provided).
Some of the tasks of this position include:
Lifting, moving and setting up tables, chairs, décor pieces and floral installations.
Working under pressure as we flip a ceremony room to a reception setup in 90 minutes.
Assembling arches, pergolas and other installation pieces.
Pulling and prepping decor for weddings and events.
Cleaning and putting away decor after events.
Keeping a clean and organized production space.
