We are looking to add to our strong, friendly, and reliable security and support team at our busy downtown location—and we want you on it. If you’ve got great people skills, a cool head under pressure, and a knack for keeping the vibes fun but safe, we’d love to hear from you.
Ideal candidates are flexible and capable of working both front-door security and porter roles.
Responsibilities
As Door Staff:
- Greet guests and manage entry during peak hours
- Check IDs and maintain entry protocols
- Monitor and manage flow of patrons
- De-escalate conflict when needed with professionalism and tact
- Represent O'Byrne’s with a calm, confident, and welcoming presence
As a Porter:
- Support servers and bartenders by clearing and resetting tables
- Maintain cleanliness and order throughout the venue, including washrooms and high-traffic areas
- Assist in stocking and restocking glassware and supplies
- Be an extra set of hands and eyes to keep service running smoothly
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in security or hospitality support is an asset
- ProServe and ProTect certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Friendly, professional attitude and a strong team player
- Ability to stay cool, calm, and collected during busy nights
