COORDINATOR, DIGITAL CONTENT
Position Summary
Best known for its flagship festival, Folklorama is a vibrant not-for-profit organization that operates 365 days a year, bringing people together by sharing ethno-cultural experiences and education. Folklorama is seeking a motivated team member with a passion for ethno-cultural arts to join our marketing and communications team as Coordinator, Digital Content.
The Coordinator, Digital Content reports to the Director, Marketing, Communications & Engagement and works closely with the Coordinator, Marketing, Communications & Engagement. This NEW position will focus on capturing the stories and amplifying the voices of Folklorama’s ethno-cultural communities, volunteers, and youth on a year-round basis, primarily outside the Festival.

Terms of Employment
Start date will beJuly 21st, 2025. Schedule is typically 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Due to the needs of the position, early morning, evening, and weekend work will be required on a regular basis. Extensive overtime may be required during the weeks of the Folklorama Festival.
Location
Job will be performed in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and outside of Winnipeg in Manitoba on an as-needed basis. Main work location will be the Folklorama Head Offices at 2nd Floor, 183 Kennedy Street. The Coordinator, Digital Content will be required attend occasional meetings and events within Winnipeg at offsite locations.
Compensation and Benefits
· Annual salary: $45,000.

Education and Experience
· Degree or diploma in Creative Communications; other post-secondary degrees in marketing, communications, or related disciplines may be considered.
· Minimum two to three (2-3) years’ experience in similar role.
· Photography, videography, and editing skills.
· Proficient in Canva, InDesign, and Illustrator and Microsoft Programs
· Proficient in all the social media platforms including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, and YouTube.
· Proficient in SEO best practices, Google Analytics, Google non-profit accounts, and Google Ads.
· WordPress content system management experience required.
· Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Community and culturally minded, results-driven individual.
· Superior organizational skills; detail oriented; focused with a high level of initiative and energy.
· Ability to produce high-quality work on a deadline and comfortable managing multiple projects and priorities.
· Demonstrated ability to think creatively and analytically.
· Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
Additional Credentials
· Candidates are required to have a valid Manitoba Class 5 driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
· The successful candidate will be required to submit a Criminal Record Check, and Child and Adult Abuse Registry checks.
