About the Role
Working under the supervision of a Licensed Psychologist/Psychological Associate, the Contractor Psychometrist is responsible for conducting interviews, administering and scoring psychological tests, as well as writing reports. In this role, you will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and with community agencies/professionals.
This is a Casual Contractor role; providing psychometry coverage for our team on an as-needed basis.
Responsibilities
- Provide Psychoeducational Assessment services and/or ADHD Assessment services in-person or online for the Clinic’s Toronto location to children, adolescents, and adults; duties include interviewing/information gathering, administering tests, scoring.
- Compile, write, edit and review reports alongside other professionals involved in the assessment.
- Follow-up and track pending questionnaires and report cards with the administrative team and client during the interview.
- Maintain up-to-date clinical session notes, engage in professionally appropriate client communications, write client letters or complete client forms when necessary.
- Complete clinical session notes and report writing responsibilities within expected timelines as per Clinic policy.
- Communicate with relevant third parties (e.g., parents, schools, other treatment providers, etc.)
- Adhere to PHIPA/HIPPA guidelines and maintain client confidentiality.
Required Skills:
- Graduate degree in psychology with coursework in psychometrics/psychological assessment or equivalent education in psychology, psychotherapy, social work, counselling, or a related mental health field is required.
- 3-5 years of experience conducting psychological and psychoeducational assessments, administering, scoring and interpreting standard tests in a clinical setting.
- Clinical experience working with clients of all ages in mental health services/coaching capacity is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal and writing skills; experience writing reports.
- Conscientious, detailed-oriented, and organized.
- Knowledge of current testing instruments.
- Commitment to a strengths-based, solution-focused and empathetic treatment style.
- Passion for and experience working with multidisciplinary health teams is an asset.
- Experience working with ADHD clients is preferred.
