Salary Range: $65,000 – $80,000 per year (based on 2–5 years of experience)
About the Role:
Aragon Properties Ltd. is seeking a Construction Safety Officer (CSO) to join our Vancouver team for a new 143-unit rental building project beginning in September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for a safety-minded individual looking to work with an experienced development and construction team on a large-scale residential project.
The CSO will be responsible for promoting a culture of safety on site, ensuring compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations, and helping to create a safe work environment for all workers, trades, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
· Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with all occupational health and safety regulations and company policies.
· Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety documentation, including incident reports, hazard assessments, and safety meeting records.
· Lead daily toolbox talks and weekly safety meetings.
· Support site team in developing and implementing safe work procedures.
· Respond to incidents and coordinate emergency response when required.
· Liaise with WorkSafeBC officers and other regulatory bodies as needed.
· Provide safety orientation and training to all new workers and trades on site.
· Collaborate with site supervisors and trades to promote a positive and proactive safety culture.
Qualifications:
· Valid Construction Safety Officer (CSO) certification.
· 2 to 5 years of experience as a CSO in the residential construction industry.
· Solid knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations and BC construction safety standards.
· Strong communication and leadership skills.
· Ability to identify potential hazards and propose practical, effective solutions.
· Comfortable using safety software and reporting tools.
· Occupational First Aid Level 1 or higher (preferred).
Compensation:
· Salary range: $65,000 – $80,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
