We are a General Contractor with over 35 years of experience with our head office based in Nanaimo. Westmark has built award-winning commercial and residential developments, our history and reputation make us the preferred General Contractor for numerous owners, consultants, and trades.
The role:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Foreperson to join our team. As the Construction Foreperson, you will be playing a critical role in overseeing construction projects from start to finish.
Your excellent supervision and leadership skills will ensure that site personnel are well organized and understand their roles and responsibilities. This will help the project stay on schedule and on budget.
At Westmark, safety is paramount. You will also ensure that daily site safety meetings are conducted and that all safety concerns are addressed promptly.
You are a problem solver with the ability to communicate effectively with your Site Superintendent to keep construction projects on track. You will also provide relevant updates and reports to the Site Superintendent, to ensure that management remains confident that the project is progressing smoothly and on schedule.
Your strong carpentry skills and proficiency with both hand and power tools will be key to being successful in this role. Certification to operate a scissor lift and telehandler is preferred; however, training can be provided.
Compensation:
Annual salary between $70,000 and $80,000
Vacation of 3 weeks per year
