Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Foreman/Lead Carpenter to lead our residential construction projects with a strong focus on quality, safety, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess 10+ years of residential carpentry or construction experience with a comprehensive understanding of construction management and will be responsible for overseeing daily operations on-site, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget, while participating as an active hands on carpenter onsite. This role requires excellent leadership abilities, effective communication skills, and a thorough knowledge of construction processes.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate construction activities on-site to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
- Review blueprints, schematics, and contracts to understand project requirements and scope.
- Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure work meets industry standards.
- Assist with managing project budgets, including estimating costs and monitoring expenses throughout the project lifecycle.
- Implement Ontario Health and Safety standards to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Provide training and guidance to crew members, fostering a productive work environment.
- Maintain open communication with project stakeholders regarding progress updates and any potential issues.
- As foreman you will provide hands on leadership on the job site as lead carpenter
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in
- Strong understanding of budgeting, construction estimating, quality control measures, and project scheduling.
- Familiarity with Ontario Health & Safety regulations and commitment to maintaining safety standards on the job site.
- Excellent blueprint reading skills along with the ability to interpret schematics accurately.
- Experience with construction techniques and power tools is mandatory.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams effectively.

Pay: $35.00-$65.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
