Construction Trailer Driver / Labourer
About Us:
Avenue Road Roofing, an exterior renovation company with over fifty years delivering quality service in the GTA, is seeking a skilled construction driver to join the team at our family business. This role is essential for ensuring timely delivery and disposal of materials to / from job sites while supporting our commitment to high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, starting at 7:00 AM from the shop located at Dufferin/ Eglinton.
- Seasonal work with overtime paid after 44 hours.
- All work is within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
Responsibilities:
- Drive company pickup trucks with trailers to and from job sites across the GTA.
- Work extended hours during the roofing season (March to December).
- Perform heavy labour tasks, including loading, unloading, and job site cleanup.
- Assist in the moving and organization of materials at job sites and in the warehouse.
- Strong commitment to safety practices on the road and at job sites.
Qualifications:
- Experience driving pickup trucks and pulling trailers (10x6 construction box trailers).
- Competence in navigating city streets and backing trailers into tight spaces.
- Valid G driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract and history.
- Solid general knowledge of the GTA.
- Ability to provide a Criminal Background Check.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting and carrying 50+ pounds.
- Proficiency in English, with clear and effective communication skills.
- Must submit a work resume and provide job-related references.
