Position: Part-Time Community Support Worker
Reports To: Service Coordinator
Overall Responsibility: Providing flexible, customized, one on one support to two adults with developmental disabilities to participate in community activities.
The supported individuals require support attending their volunteer/paid positions, maintaining relationships, attending appointments, completing personal and homes chores and preparing meals.
Compensation: $22.00-$23.00 per hour (to start)
Benefits: Part-time benefits include a Health Spending Account, a Wellness Program, and Employee and Family Assistance Program.
Vehicle Use: This position requires staff to transport supported individuals in their own vehicles. Mileage is reimbursed at $0.61/km.
Schedule: 28 Hours per Week - Monday to Friday. Typical hours and days are (subject to change):
- Mondays: 09:15 am to 06:00 pm (with a 45 unpaid lunch break)
- Tuesdays: 12:00 pm to 04:00 pm
- Wednesdays: 11 am to 07:00 pm OR 01:00 pm to 09:00 pm
- Thursday: 12:00 pm to 04:00 pm
- Fridays 08:30 am to 12:30 pm
The applicant must be able to be flexible as the supported hours may change according to the need of the individuals.

- Assisting the individuals with everyday chores and cleaning.
- Supporting the individuals with community activities such as volunteer positions and physical activity.

- Assisting the individuals in developing and building on their own authentic friendships.

Job Requirements:
- Experience in the social services field would be an asset but is not required
- Clear criminal record check
- Safe driving record is required
- Valid Drivers License is required
- Safe, reliable vehicle to be used to transport supported individuals with appropriate insurance coverage is required
- Valid First Aid certificate (can be obtained during training period)
