As the Community Investment and Stakeholder Relations Student, you will work with teams throughout our corporate and field operations to ensure that stakeholder/business and communications deliverables are carried out successfully.

- Job location: Calgary, AB – Head Office
- Shift schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off, 8 hours/day (Monday – Friday)
- Term length: 4 months
- Term start: May 2026

Key Accountabilities:
- Community Investment
- Prepare peer comparison of community investment budgets and key donations
- Review and make recommendations on funding opportunities that fit within Canadian Natural’s community investment strategy
- Work with internal communications team to identify and highlight significant community investment initiatives for Canadian Natural’s social media channels
- Lead scholarship program implementation and evaluation
- Generate and process community investment cheque requests
- Review and make recommendations for funding requests received electronically/mail, and provide responses
- Manage select partnerships and commitments
- Indigenous Business Development
- Support the Indigenous Opportunities Program, and validation of contractor directory
- Maintain and update database training manual
- General
- Updating and maintenance of communications files
- Data entry – updating community investment and business development figures
- Support reporting and setting up meetings
- Generate:
- Monthly district plan status reports using database
- Community summary documents using database
- Reports for Community Investment, Indigenous Business Development
- Manage team portfolios for vacation coverage
What You Bring to The Role:
- Currently enrolled in a degree or program in the fields of Communications, Business Administration, or Indigenous Studies
