Summary of Position
The Community Development Coordinator is a core role within the Hope Grande Prairie Project, reporting to the Director of Education and Engagement with accountability to identified community partners. This position leads the coordination and management of collective activities, including administrative tasks, community engagement, and event planning. The Coordinator plays a central role in building partner and stakeholder engagement and supporting the successful implementation of a collective database and shared community outcomes. By fostering collaboration and driving collective impact work forward, this role helps enhance the well-being and autonomy of individuals accessing local services.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide day-to-day coordination and facilitation of the Hope Grande Prairie Project
- Organize, support, and engage community partners in advancing project goals and work plans
- Complete required administrative tasks related to meetings, reporting, and partnerships
- Lead and document meetings as well as provide training to community partners and external stakeholders on the use of the Hope Hub database
- Coordinate events and activities that engage the community in the project’s work
- Collect, analyze, and report on data and outcomes as part of the collective initiative
- Maintain and oversee the project’s collective database to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and functionality
- Engage with Restore Hope to support professional development and ongoing learning for the project
- Build and sustain relationships with community partners to advance the mission of ending domestic and sexual violence
- Work collaboratively with Odyssey House departments to ensure effective service delivery
Qualifications
The successful applicant will possess one or more of the following:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counselling, or other Human Services related field (or comparable experience)
- Minimum three years working within the human and/or social service field, including 1 or more years of proven community collaboration and committee coordination experience
- A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered
