Job Description:
We are seeking a Commercial Real Estate Attorney to join our legal team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing end-to-end transaction support on large infrastructure real estate projects, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating leases, amendments, construction and architectural agreements, and other related contracts. This position requires a hands-on, transaction-focused attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable collaborating with external counsel.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial real estate contracts, including leases, lease amendments, construction and architectural agreements, and other transaction documents.
- Provide comprehensive legal support throughout the entire real estate transaction lifecycle, from acquisition through closing, on large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, external law firms, and government representatives to facilitate smooth and timely transaction closings.
- Manage multiple real estate acquisitions and transactions.
- Support deal structuring and documentation with a keen eye for detail and risk mitigation.
- Adapt quickly to a fast-paced working environment while maintaining high-quality legal work.
Qualifications:
- Strong commercial real estate transactional experience, ideally with exposure to infrastructure or government-related projects.
- Proven track record of handling complex lease negotiations, amendments, and construction-related agreements.
- Comfortable providing hands-on, end-to-end legal transaction support rather than simply managing or overseeing.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and with external legal counsel.
- Experience working in or with government entities is a strong asset.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple transactions concurrently.
- Open to hybrid work arrangement, with availability to be onsite one day per week.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or government-related real estate transactions.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and mitigate legal risks in complex commercial agreements.
- Prior experience working with external law firms and government entities in a collaborative, transaction-driven environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple real estate deals simultaneously with a high level of attention to detail.
- Background in drafting and negotiating construction and architectural agreements is a plus.
Compensation, Benefits & Location:
This role offers a range of competitive compensation ranging from $142k - $200k and a highly competitive benefits package in the alternative legal services marketplace that includes health benefits, 401K and more. Axiomites also get access to professional development resources and learning and development programs.
