H.B.D Forming ltd, is searching for a Commercial Concrete Forming Foreman to join our team. The succesful candidate would be overseeing the construction and installation of concrete forms on commercial construction projects. They will also be leading a large crew of concrete workers, ensuring the forms are built to specifications, on schedule, and safely. This role involves interpreting blueprints, coordinating with other trades, and maintaining a productive and safe work environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Leadership:Leading and managing a team of concrete workers, including carpenters and laborers, ensuring efficient and safe work practices.
- Formwork Construction:Overseeing the layout, building, and dismantling of concrete forms for various structures like foundations, walls, columns, and slabs.
- Blueprint Interpretation:Accurately reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure proper formwork construction.
- Coordination:Collaborating with superintendents, project managers, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow and project progress.
- Safety Compliance:Enforcing safety regulations, conducting safety meetings, and promoting a safety-conscious work environment.
- Quality Control:Inspecting formwork before concrete pours to ensure it meets specifications and is structurally sound.
- Resource Management:Managing materials, tools, and equipment, and tracking crew hours and productivity.
- Problem Solving:Identifying and resolving any issues or delays related to formwork construction.
- Training and Mentoring:Coaching and developing less experienced team members.
- Documentation:Maintaining records of work progress, safety incidents, and any other relevant information.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in concrete forming, including both horizontal and vertical applications.
- Strong knowledge of formwork systems, materials, and techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to safety and a strong understanding of safety regulations.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40.00-$49.00 per hour
