CNC Machine Setup/Operator
Job Role: Work from drawings, sketches, work orders, charts, and verbal instructions. Setup and Operate various CNC Milling machines and a CNC Haas Lathe, producing components with tight tolerances.
Responsibilities:
- Primarily, setup and operate a Toyoda SB-316 CNC machine. Operate various 3 Axis CNC Milling machines and a CNC Haas Lathe when required.
- Familiar with Heidenhain, Fanuc and Haas Controls
- Setup and monitor Machines and conduct quality checks during machining
- Load raw materials into the machine, ensuring proper alignment and secure positioning
- Perform “first” off inspections and ensure all parts meet the specifications outlined on the drawings
- Uses a wide variety of precision measuring instruments
- Monitor machine operations to ensure precision and accuracy
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor
- Effectively communicate with Supervisor and co-workers and ability to work in a team environment
- Handle heavy parts with overhead crane.
- Ensure that the work area including machines is clean and safe at all times
Qualifications:
- 5 Years of experience, primarily with setup and operation of Large 3 Axis CNC machines.
- CNC Programming, using Mastercam would be considered an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Good communication and basic math skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Versatility, flexibility and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Acute attention to detail
