Skilled Civil Pipefitters
Responsibilities
- Lay and join pipes for water and sewer systems, ensuring they are laid to the specified depth and gradient.
- Cut, place and install sewer and water pipes to specified grades accurately
- Measure and cut material
- Basic equipment operation
- Handle and transport job materials to the work areas
- Assist in site preparation and clean-up before and after pipe installation processes.
- All other labour duties as required and assigned by supervisor
- Remote work locations
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in civil construction
- Experience in pipelaying or a related field preferred
- Strong understanding of construction and pipelaying techniques
- Excellent attitude, communication and teamwork skills, flexible, and open to change
- Ability to determine the correct tools and equipment needed to do a job
- An understanding of safe work practices
- The strength, stamina, and ability to use proper lifting techniques to lift and carry items weighing more than 50 pounds. Good muscular coordination, agility and balance
