Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Construction Supervisor to lead our construction projects with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency in the Fraser Valley. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes. As a Construction Supervisor, you will oversee daily operations on-site, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction workers and subcontractors to ensure project timelines are met.
- Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
- Utilize construction management software such as Workforce to track project progress, manage schedules, and communicate effectively with team members.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents to guide construction activities, as well knowledge with City standards/MMCD standards
- Assist in budgeting by estimating costs for materials, labor, and equipment for various projects.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and promote a collaborative work environment.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily logs and reports on work completed.
- Read and follow proper Grade elevations
Skills
- Strong proficiency in quality control practices within the construction industry.
- Proven experience in supervising teams effectively to achieve project goals.
- Familiarity with Topcon GPS software, for project management and documentation.
- Ability to build strong relationships with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
- Expertise in budgeting processes related to construction projects.
- Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding schematics for accurate implementation of plans.
- Experience in construction estimating to aid in project planning and execution.
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate clear instructions and feedback among team members.
- Experience in pipe-laying; storm and sanitary systems , and water.
- knowledge of grades, and use a rotating laser/pipe laser , and auto-lights
