Lyons is looking for a motivated and experienced Pipe Foreman to join our team. If you have a strong background in underground utilities — particularly water, sewer, and storm systems — and enjoy leading crews on dynamic projects, this could be the opportunity for you.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead and coordinate daily activities of pipe crews on site
- Oversee installation of water and sewer mains, storm drainage systems, manholes, valves, hydrants, and water kiosk chambers
- Ensure correct layout and grade control for pipe installation
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Enforce safety policies and quality control procedures
- Work closely with project managers, inspectors, and subcontractors
- Track daily progress and report production quantities
What You Bring:
- 5+ years of underground utility experience
- Proven leadership experience as a Foreman or Lead Hand in civil construction
- Solid knowledge of water, sewer, and storm infrastructure
- Skilled in setting grades and reading blueprints
- Understanding of QA/QC standards for pipe installation
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (or equivalent)
Nice to Have:
- CSTS, First Aid, or other safety certifications
- Equipment operation experience
- Ability to troubleshoot and make on-the-spot adjustments
