The Saskatchewan Foster Families Association (SFFA) is dedicated to supporting foster families through education, advocacy, and community resources. Our goal is to help foster healthy, nurturing homes and brighter futures for children and youth in care across Saskatchewan.
Position Overview:
We are currently hiring a Transportation Support Worker to assist with transporting a child to and from visits and appointments, primarily between Marsden, SK and Saskatoon. This is a part time position with 8 hours per week. Candidates must use their own reliable vehicle and will be compensated at $18/hour, with mileage reimbursed.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely transport children to scheduled appointments and visits.
Ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of all passengers during transit.
Comply with all traffic laws and maintain a clean, roadworthy vehicle.
Accurately track mileage and submit required documentation for reimbursement.
Maintain professionalism and respectful communication with children, caregivers, and staff.
Qualifications:
Valid Saskatchewan driver’s license and access to a reliable personal vehicle.
Clean driving record and demonstrated commitment to road safety.
Dependable, punctual, and able to manage a consistent schedule.
Strong communication skills and ability to engage with children in a supportive, professional manner.
Able to handle confidential information with sensitivity and discretion.
Compensation:
Hourly wage: $18.00
Mileage reimbursement: Paid for personal vehicle use during transport
